Welcome to the Wait and See podcast, created for parents walking the road of disability and medical complexity.

Have you ever sat on your child’s bedroom floor, with tears in your eyes, wondering if God sees you or if anyone else feels this way? I have - you’re not alone and I’m glad you’re here.

If you’re raising a child with a diagnosis(or a few), juggling appointments, therapies, school meetings, social outings, and the emotional weight that comes with it all, this space is for you.

Here, we talk honestly. It’s a both/and conversation: it’s hard and beautiful, chaotic and peaceful, frustrating and funny. My faith gives me hope and strength, and my humor (and sarcasm) helps keep me sane…most days.

We share real stories, real resources, and real conversations that remind you: you’re seen, you’re important, you’re capable, and you don’t have to do this alone.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Meet Your Host

Hi, I’m Amber. I’m a lot of things, but my favorite role by far is Mom. I have two incredible kids who are almost exactly 10 years apart. Gasp, I know. And yes, everyone assumes our youngest was a “surprise” or an “oops,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We prayed for that sweet boy for seven long years.

Along the way, we’ve seen God’s hand so clearly through loss, through infertility, and through the hard and beautiful journey of raising a child with disabilities.

I’m raising a child with congenital CMV (cCMV), autism, ADHD, unilateral hearing loss, and developmental and language disabilities. I know the acronyms, the overwhelm, the grief, the fierce love, and the resilience that grows in places you never expected.
